The steps towards running your pub business
Once you have submitted an application, your journey towards running your own pub business with Marston's will begin!
You will have an informal telephone screening conversation with a Resourcing Advisor to establish whether this is the right business opportunity for you to explore. If both parties are happy to proceeed then you will agree a Discovery Day date
You’ll be invited to attend a Discovery Day, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about our agreement and formats. You’ll meet members of our Operations team and an existing franchisee
You will attend a first business meeting with an Area Operations Manager. This is the perfect opportunity for us to decide if we want to go in to business together.
Remember to bring the following documentation* to your business meeting:
Right to work in the UK / Proof of funding / Personal License / Signed permission to credit check form
*If you forget to bring these documents to your business meeting it could potentially slow the process down later on
In advance of your meeting you should prepare THE INDUSTRY OVERVIEW. Part 1 of 'YOUR BUSINESS PLAN'.
Your second business meeting with the Area Operations Manager will be to review THE INDUSTRY OVERVIEW (Part 1 of 'your business plan').
If we love your thoughts and ideas and you want to partner with us then a conditional offer will be made to show our commitment to you whilst you build YOUR BUSINESS PLAN. We will provide you with a memory stick and discuss the documents you need to complete YOUR BUSINESS PLAN
You will attend a final business meeting with the Area & Regional Operations Managers to review YOUR BUSINESS PLAN.
If we and you are happy at this stage with your plan, then we will make a final official offer and enrol you on your induction training
