New builds, lodges and refurbishments
This year we’re opening 22 new build pub restaurants and up to 8 lodges!
New builds are a key part of our strategy and we’re experts when it comes to designing, building, opening and operating these sites, having opened over 150 new builds in the last decade.
We’re understandably proud of these pubs. Each one costs over £3 million pounds to build, so they look fantastic both inside and out. With each new build needing a team of around 50 people, our pubs make a huge difference to local communities.
Our new build General Managers are involved from day one, so you can put your own stamp on things. You get to hand-pick your team too, supported by our Resourcing Advisors. Under your leadership and with the help of our Training team you’ll see them grow and develop.
These are exciting opportunities - there’s no buzz quite like that of a new build pub on opening night!
In recognition of the hard work our General Managers put in to their businesses, we offer an excellent bonus scheme. You could earn up to £2,000 if agreed KPIs are met during the first 13 weeks after opening.
With our famous pub hospitality at the heart of what we do, we pride ourselves on guaranteeing a relaxing stay in our convenient and welcoming lodges, located alongside a selection of our pubs or our inns which are usually above the pub.
Our lodges and inns appeal to business travellers, people looking for somewhere to break up a long journey and even holidaymakers looking for somewhere to base themselves for a short stay. We currently have over 50 lodges and inns across the UK and are planning to build up to 8 more lodges in the next year.
These lodges and inns offer General Managers the opportunity to run a multi-faceted business with a larger team and added complexity.
In addition to opening new pubs, we’re committed to investing in our existing ones too. We’re always looking at ways to invigorate our offer to breath a new lease of life into local popular pubs to keep our customers coming back.
