We currently have around 800 pubs operating under a tenancy or lease agreement and are widely regarded as having one of the best quality estates in the business. Our reputation stems from a genuine desire to support and invest in our operators, giving them the best possible opportunity to lead their businesses to success. From industry leading support and training, to tailored advice on a range of topics such as business growth, catering, entertainment and cost control – our pub operators do things their way, but with the backing of some of the most experienced people in the trade, all committed to helping them make money, gain security and be competitive in their local area.
Pub standards are a key focus for us and in 2012 we invested around £12m in maintenance to our tenanted and leased estate. In order to attract the highest quality operators we also aim to provide as much flexibility within our agreements as possible. Each of our tenanted and leased pubs has its own character and charm - ranging from wet-led community locals and town centre bars to gastro-style food pubs. This diversity, coupled with the five breweries we own nationwide provides our operators with the very best opportunity to choose both the pub, and the products, that are right for them!
Our agreements are all subject to a legally binding Code of Practice which complies with the Industry Framework Code and we pride ourselves on our straightforward and open business approach, which ensures you’ll always know exactly where you stand with us.
