Overview

As a Procurement Coordinator you will be part of the Group Procurement team. You will be the central point of contact for our Food distributor, Food Product Suppliers, Menu Development Team & Operational Colleagues regarding stock management of our food products.

 You will be responsible for:

  • Liaising closely with our food distributor to continuously review current stock levels, forecasts and planned orders. Using the distributor’s online stock management platform you will constantly review stocks to ensure that we have sufficient stock to meet demand but also to limit any excess.
  • A high level of contact with the distributor to raise and respond to any issues with regard to stock management or supply issues.
  • Meeting with key suppliers on a regular basis to review product forecasts and stock levels at distributor and supplier and to agree to planned production and stock levels going forward.
  • Working closely with our menu development team to process menu change forms and communicate information to suppliers and distributors regarding forecast changes or delists as a result of menu or product changes.
  • Closely monitoring new product line stock usage during menu launch periods and publish daily updates for the team to communicate performance of any new lines, delisted lines or forecast changes driven by new menus.
  • Advising pubs and Ops teams of changes to delivery schedules around holiday periods such as Xmas and Easter.
  • Communicating issues regarding product supply out to our pubs and Catering Hotline operatives
  • Monitor levels of residual or delisted stock and create reports to regularly communicate current position. Look for ways to reduce levels of residual stock through better stock management and monitoring. Work with menu development team to look for opportunities to utilise residual stock.
  • Any ad hoc issues with regard to product availability and monitoring

The Successful Applicant will possess:

  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to gather, analyse and present data effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to work within a team and to develop positive relationships with both menu development and Ops team and with suppliers and distributors
  • A desire to challenge the status quo and to constantly be looking for ways to improve on current processes
  • Ambition with an interest in expanding the role by taking on purchasing responsibilities once they have demonstrated success
  • A degree or equivalent level of educational attainment
