Revere Pub Company are coming to Rowsley and we’re looking for an experienced and passionate General Manager for our upcoming opening; The Grouse & Claret.

We are an eclectic, award-winning collection of stylish country pub restaurants and boutique bedrooms, where our guests can escape, relax and enjoy our menu of fresh food and innovative drinks in beautifully designed spaces.

You’ll have an entrepreneurial spirit with relevant management experience within a high-volume, premium business and excellent P&L control. You’ll also have a proven track record of growing a fantastic team, achieving high standards and delivering excellent guest experiences.

As this is a new opening you will be involved in the recruitment of your team, operational set-up and pre-opening awareness – an exciting and unique opportunity giving you a platform to develop your skills, lead a team, have fun and make an impact.

What are we looking for?

  • An experienced General Manager within a pub, bar and/or restaurant brand
  • Experience managing a business with strong food and drink performance
  • A leader who can exceed financial targets, deliver a profitable P&L and control costs and stocks
  • A passionate General Manager who delivers excellent guest experiences every time
  • Someone who demonstrates positive leadership characteristics, is willing to learn as well as develop and engage a team to deliver excellent results
  • Always attentive and proactive
  • An excellent team player with exceptional communication skills
  • Be fun-loving, have a great character and enjoy the culture that our industry offers

Hi, I'm Lewis

My induction with Marston’s was tailored so I visited sites that were going to be similar to mine.

I spent time with a ‘buddy’ manager from a nearby site – he was a great guy and really honest and talked to me about the culture of Marston’s as well as the day to day running of the business.

My Area Manager, Nigel was really supportive and if he didn’t have the answer he would pull on his network of experts to support.

Induction

Opening a new build pub

On the opening day there was so many people coming in but I wasn’t worried as I had every type of support there to help it run smoothly. The whole board came down for a meal at my pub, the CEO and the Managing Director are really nice people and down to earth too!
