Graduate Trainee Accountant to work within the Finance team and help provide support to the operations teams. A developmental role for someone wishing to pursue a career in finance and keen to undertake CIMA qualification. Full support will be provided for this through our apprenticeship scheme.
The Opportunity
  • Supporting the Finance Business Partners at key Operations meetings, providing financial insight.
  • Ownership of various cost lines including period end reporting and analysis.
  • Ensuring invoices for key cost lines are approved in a timely manner.
  • Supporting the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting.
  • Analysing and interpreting data into a ‘reader friendly’ format to be shared with others
  • Developing a relationship with the Operations team and other stakeholders to become a point of contact for financial queries and providing day to day support.
 
Who are we looking for?
  • A person who is keen to pursue a career in Finance and become a CIMA qualified Accountant.
  • Be naturally inquisitive and confident to challenge where appropriate.
  • Possess the ability to meet tight deadlines on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Someone who is actively engaged, with a willingness to learn
  • Have good communication, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Possess strong IT skills particularly Excel and other Microsoft packages. Experience with SAP would be beneficial, however full training will be provided.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is mandatory – travel to meetings and trade visits will be required.
  • Enthusiastic and keen to integrate within both finance and operations team.
  • Being polite and courteous in interactions with others.
  • Display focus, discipline and accountability on given tasks.
  • Possessing a pro-active approach to learning and developing
  • Able to take on board feedback in a positive constructive manner.
