Overview
We are actively seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and detail-oriented pricing analyst to join our team as a Revenue Management Analyst. In this pivotal role, your expertise will be focused on analyzing and interpreting intricate commercial data within the IDEAS revenue management system. Your primary responsibilities will involve daily pricing tasks and mentoring junior revenue analysts within the team.
 
You will create comprehensive reports, providing valuable insights crucial for data-driven decision-making across our hotels and capacity management. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the design of efficient reporting across the business using Power BI. Moreover, you will collaborate with account managers to optimise our sales and maintain a close working relationships.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Collect, organize, and analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
  • Use statistical methods and data visualization techniques to present findings clearly and concisely.
  • Interpret complex data sets to provide meaningful commercial insights and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain reporting systems to effectively monitor and track key metrics.
  • Create comprehensive reports and dashboards that highlight performance against established KPIs.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data in all reports and perform regular quality assurance checks.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to identify and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data reliability and validity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, to understand reporting requirements and priorities. Communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Process Analysis: Identify and assess existing business processes to determine their suitability for automation. Analyse workflows gather requirements, and document processes for automation opportunities.
  • Automation Strategy: Develop an automation strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Determine the appropriate automation tools and technologies to implement and integrate into existing systems.
  • Process Optimization: Identify areas for process improvement and optimization within automated workflows. Analyse data and performance metrics to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Training and Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate end-users on automation tools and processes. Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues and stakeholders to promote automation awareness and adoption.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:
  • Degree educated in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Revenue management experience working with IDEAS RMS would be advantageous
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Reporting Analyst, with commercial accountability.
  • Experience and accountability of financial budgets.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex data sets and draw meaningful insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and data modelling techniques.
