About the pub
The Trawlerman sits close to the seaside in the holiday town of Cleethorpes. It is opposite a large caravan park and benefits from a strong seasonal trade from tourists. In addition to tourists it has an established winter trade. Close to the seafront and a large caravan park. In a densely populated area that benefits from an influx of tourist trade in the summer months.
Currently the site is achieving average weekly sales of £25,000 which flexes depending on the time of year. The split is food led at 65/35.
The Trawlerman has real potential to develop further as a family dining destination. It hosts occasional family-focused events which are well supported. Carvery is available every day and this really shines for a great Sunday lunch.
Accommodation is available in the form of a manager’s flat benefitting from three double bedrooms, a lounge, a kitchen and bathroom.
This is the perfect pub for an experienced general manager with the ability to flex between summer and winter trade. Our ideal candidate must be able to manage high volume turnover but then scale down in winter to control the business through quieter months. Carvery experience would be desirable. Someone with the ability to engage with the local community throughout the year is essential. Local knowledge or experience of managing a seasonal business would be an advantage.
With an established senior team in place and a strong reputation locally, this is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate.
