Benefits Manager 

As part of our company strategy to be the #1 Local Pub Company and Employer of Choice, we’re searching for a Benefits Manager to own the execution of Marston’s Benefits strategy.

Reporting into the Head of Reward and People Information, the successful candidate will be fully accountable for our benefits and recognition platforms. With a strong understanding of the underlying concepts in Benefits, Reward or HR, you’ll own our recognition programmes and will be responsible for ensuring maximum ROI from our benefits spend.

This is an agile role with approximately 1 day a week based in our modern head offices in the centre of Wolverhampton. As part of this role, you’ll be the face of Marston’s Benefits and Recognition schemes and as such you will be required to travel for meetings on occasion, we therefore require a candidate with a full driving licence.

Could you?

  • Be the dedicated product owner for our benefits and recognition platforms
  • Ensure maximum visibility and engagement of our Benefits offering
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure the highest levels of service are being provided
  • Work in collaboration with the Reward Manager and support each other in the delivery of the wider Reward strategy
  • Provide Benefits advisory to the HR function and the wider business
  • Follow regulatory and market developments in the world of UK benefits and build and leverage an external network of sources and partners

 

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • A Business, HR or Finance University degree OR equivalent work experience
  • Experienced in working as part of a Reward team or taking ownership for Reward or Benefits within a wider HR team
  • Experienced in the use of HR systems to deliver HR or Reward-related services to the business
  • Fully competent in the design of presentations and data management and analysis through Microsoft software or similar.
  • Experience of successful vendor management and working with external third parties
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Successful project management experience
  • A proven track record of ownership and successful deliver of business processes

     

    Desirable

  • Good understanding of the tax implications of Benefits
  • Experience analysing employee engagement data
  • Experience creating engaging communications about Benefits/Reward
  • Flexible benefits design/management experience
  • Recognition programmes/platforms experience

We have some parking space at our Pub Support Centre (with EV charging points), and access to 4 public car parks within a 5-minute walk which can be claimed back via expenses.
