As part of our company strategy to be the Number One Local Pub Company and Employer of Choice, we’re searching for an ambitious Junior Finance Business Partners to join our Finance team and support the Finance Business Partners at key Operations meetings, providing financial insight and ownership of specific areas and regions of the business.
Reporting into the Senior Finance Manager, this is an ideal opportunity for a newly CIMA Qualified or the final stages of the CIMA qualification. Enjoying full support from an experienced Finance team, the role itself is hands-on, and you should enjoy working at pace in a lively environment. You will have plenty of opportunity to demonstrate how you can turn complex information into meaningful insights that helps drive business performance.
This is a hybrid roles, partially based at Marston’s award-winning, modern offices in central Wolverhampton with some travel required across our pub estate. As such applicants must hold a full UK driving licence.
Could you:
- Supporting the Finance Business Partners at key Operations meetings, providing financial insight and ownership of specific areas and regions of the business.
- Take ownership of various cost lines including period end reporting and analysis.
- Ensure invoices for key cost lines are approved in a timely manner
- Supporting the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting
- Analysing and interpreting data into a ‘reader friendly’ format to be shared with others
- Developing a relationship with the Operations team to become a point of contact for financial queries and providing day to day support.
- Presenting and Communicating Financial Information to Ops and other stakeholders as the role develops
We are looking for:
- Newly CIMA Qualified or latter stages of Part Qualified (Level 3 – Strategic Level)
- Possess the ability to meet tight deadlines on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Excellent communication, analytical and presentation skills.
- Possess strong IT skills particularly Excel and other Microsoft packages. Experience with SAP would be beneficial, however full training will be provided.
- Full UK Driving Licence is desirable– travel to meetings and pubs will be required
