The Griffin is a wonderful, traditional beamed, stone floor pub with letting rooms nestled in the heart of Barkisland on the outskirts of Halifax. The pub comprises of a main bar area with 2 smaller rooms leading off from it and through the double doors that lead to a lovely beer garden to the rear. There is also a good sized function room/private dining area. It has a good local customer base and is also popular with walkers and cyclists given it’s location and with a car park there is plenty of space to accommodate the variety of customers that frequent the pub. The pub also has 3 letting rooms that prove to be very popular.
This pub would ideally suit operators that have experience in delivering their own food menu, some letting room experience and driving wet sales through regular events and can show how they have driven sales through effective networking within the local community. Marston’s are also open to changing the agreement to our company food menu and enhancing the percentage of food and drink sales to 22% with a £25,000 retained sum, if potential operators want a fully supported food and drink menu.
