The White Bear in Mancot is a well-known village pub with a great local reputation, sitting close to Hawarden and just a short hop from the A55 at Queensferry. It’s the kind of place that benefits from steady, loyal regulars through the week, with an extra lift from visitors from surrounding villages, making it especially popular at weekends.
Inside, there’s a compact, welcoming bar area that’s set up for live sport and suits a proper wet-led operation. Live entertainment runs every weekend, giving you a strong base of reasons to visit and plenty of energy in the business when it matters most.
Currently delivering around £8k a week in wet sales, the White Bear already has solid foundations and a clear route to grow takings further. With a keen sports following and a strong sense of community on the doorstep, there’s real potential to drive more midweek trade and build bigger occasions around key fixtures, themed nights and local partnerships.
We’re looking for a highly experienced, hands-on community operator who’s confident running a busy wet-led pub, leading from the front and keeping standards high. If you enjoy putting on a great show, can build a calendar of entertainment and community events that keeps people coming back, and know how to make the most of sport-led trade, you’ll find plenty of opportunity here to take a great little pub and move it on to the next level.
What’s in it for you?
