The Flintlock is about to become something special. Following a major investment, this already well‑supported community pub will be transformed into a Marston’s Grandstand site — a bold, energetic, sport‑led venue designed to deliver atmosphere, great food, and big trading potential.
The refurbishment will completely reinvent the pub: full internal redecoration, wall‑to‑wall TVs for every sporting moment, a state‑of‑the‑art sound and entertainment system, and refreshed outdoor drinking areas. The current split between sports bar and lounge/restaurant will evolve into a cohesive, high‑impact sports destination with a food offer built to match.
With weekly sales of £17,600 (80/20 wet‑led) and significant growth expected post‑capex, this is a high‑volume business in a large Leicestershire town, right at the heart of a loyal residential community.
We’re looking for an operator with experience running a sizeable venue with food — ideally someone who knows how to deliver a buzzing sports environment and who’s confident managing a major investment project. Above all, we want passion, drive, and the hunger to make this flagship site thrive.

We’re looking for an experienced, sports-driven Pub Partner who thrives in high-energy, wet-led environments and knows how to create standout guest experiences week in, week out. Previous food experience is essential, with experience operating branded food offers a strong advantage. You’ll be commercially focused, confident leading large teams, and passionate about using sport, atmosphere and great hospitality to drive results and make your pub the place everyone wants to be.

What’s in it for you?
- 22% share of weekly sales (excluding VAT) plus a guaranteed annual retained sum of £25K (released weekly)
- Low ingoing costs, deposits starting from £5,000 and £360 legal cost. (*deposits can vary dependant on business – ask us for more details*)
- Accommodation included with most bills covered, except the council tax & TV License (*a fee may be payable for some services such as garden maintenance)

Lily helps us move quickly, keep things flexible for you, and create a more consistent candidate experience, but one thing you should know – all hiring decisions are still made by our people.
