The Moorgate Inn sits right at the heart of Aspull, a stable residential village with a loyal local following and the kind of regular trade that comes from being a proper community pub. It’s a familiar, friendly place where people come to catch up, watch the match and feel looked after, rather than a stop-off for passing trade. There’s also a function room that gives you a great opportunity to build extra business through parties, celebrations and local groups.
Inside, it’s an easy-going, sociable set-up that lends itself to wet-led trading, with multiple screens for live sport, plus pool, darts and board games to keep people staying longer.
The business is currently taking around £5.4k a week, with sales 100% wet, and there’s clear headroom to grow. By sharpening up the sports offer, building relationships with local teams, and running a simple, consistent events plan around big fixtures, you can realistically move takings towards £6.5k a week while staying true to what locals already love about the pub.
We’re looking for a hands-on operator who enjoys being part of village life, knows their regulars, and can create a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels at home. You’ll be confident running a wet-led business, proud of clean standards and great service, and motivated to push sport, teams and functions to drive steady, sustainable sales growth.
What’s in it for you?
- 20% share of weekly wet sales, excluding VAT.
- Keep 100% of the food sales.
- Low ingoing costs, starting with just a £5,000 deposit and £360 legal cost. (*deposits can vary dependant on business – ask us for more details*)
- Accommodation included with most bills covered, except the council tax & TV License.
