The Wilmslow Tavern is a well-established community pub located in the heart of the busy Summerfields shopping area in Wilmslow, Cheshire. Surrounded by a high volume of residential housing and neighbouring local amenities, the pub benefits from consistent footfall from both the immediate estate and the surrounding area, as well as passing trade.
Internally, the pub offers a large central bar with excellent zoning and clearly defined trading areas, including dedicated spaces for dining, entertainment and small functions. This flexible layout allows the operator to run everyday community trade alongside private bookings and events with minimal disruption to the core business. Externally, the Wilmslow Tavern benefits from a beer garden and additional side terrace, both of which are well‑suited to seasonal trading, family visits and informal gatherings. The pub already drives strong wet sales through live entertainment, sports, teams and small functions, currently taking circa £7,300 per week with a 95/5 wet split, and there is significant untapped potential to grow both wet and food sales.
We are looking for a hands‑on, community‑focused operator who can build on the pub’s strong wet‑led trade while continuing to develop and grow the existing food offer. With the business currently trading heavily towards wet sales, the right partner will be confident in protecting the core community feel of the pub, while having the drive and experience to increase food sales in a way that naturally complements the customer base and trading pattern.
