About the pub
The Wellington hotel is based in the centre of the market town of Brecon and in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. One of the oldest buildings in Brecon, The Wellington’s Georgian façade looks over the town square and the statue of the Duke of Wellington himself. The Wellington has 25 en-suite rooms, an on site function and meeting room, bar area, and restaurant area. Outside is a patio area to be enjoyed by guests.
The Wellington is currently averaging £22k in weekly sales with a 50/20/30 Food/Wet/Rooms sales mix. We are looking for an experienced operator, who is used to busy service and leading a complex food-led business. We are looking for someone who can engage with the local community, and is up to the challenge of take this sleeping giant to the next level!
Please note: There is no management accommodation available at this site, this is a live out opportunity, therefore you will need to live within a 20-mile radius or be prepared to move to the area. We do offer a live out allowance of up to £7,500!
