Resourcing Manager – 12 Month FTC

Salary from £35,000 per annum + car allowance

We’re looking for a Resourcing Manager to join us on a 12 month fixed-term contract (with the potential to go permanent) at a pivotal time for the business. With a significant capital investment programme underway, this role plays a critical part in ensuring our pubs are talent‑ready ahead of investment, supporting smooth openings and long‑term success.

Working closely with our Recruitment Managers, Attraction team and People Partners, you’ll own the resourcing and pipelining strategy aligned to planned investment activity in our pubs. This is a highly proactive role, ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships early and thinking several steps ahead.

This is a hybrid role, partially based at Marston’s Head Office in Wolverhampton, with travel across our pub estate as required.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Owning and delivering the resourcing and talent pipelining plan for our investment pubs, ensuring we have the right talent available for critical roles ahead of key investment milestones
  • Building and maintaining proactive talent pools for Partnership, General Manager and Head Chef roles, aligned to future investment
  • Proactively sourcing talent through networking, headhunting, referrals, social media, and industry connections
  • Acting as a trusted Resourcing Advisor to Recruitment Managers and People Partners, using insight to challenge assumptions and manage risk
  • Partnering with the Attraction and Recruitment Development teams on targeted, location‑led attraction campaigns
  • Championing an inclusive, engaging candidate experience, aligned to the Marston’s People Promise
  • Using data to track pipeline readiness, forecast pressure points and inform decisions
  • Ensuring all activity meets compliance, governance and DE&I best practice

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in proactive resourcing, talent pooling or pipelining, ideally in a multi‑site, fast-paced environment
  • Confidence headhunting and engaging passive talent through relationship‑led sourcing approaches
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to influence and collaborate across recruitment and HR teams
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to align resourcing activity to business investment plans
  • Comfort using recruitment systems, insight and data to drive outcomes and reduce risk
  • A collaborative, inclusive mindset with a passion for creating great candidate experiences

Experience working with Partnership/Franchise business models would be a strong advantage.

We have some parking space at our Pub Support Centre (with EV charging points), and access to 4 public car parks within a 5-minute walk which can be claimed back via expenses.

Our Pub Support Centre is a Grade A energy efficient, and award-winning building. The building is powered by our solar panel roof, and we have 10 electric car charging points on site. We’re also committed to full recycling throughout the building.

We have a group bonus scheme for Pub Support Centre (PSC) based on company performance, however depending on your role there may be individual schemes that are applicable.

With a hybrid approach the main core working hours are 9am – 5pm, depending on the team you work in.
